The Sic-Art Association has signed a grant agreement for the implementation of the project entitled “Like in a Fairy Tale” – Thematic Children’s Play, Storytelling, and Puppet Theater Workshops, within the framework of the PNRR/2022/C11/MC-AFCN/I5-1 call.
The project is funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Component C11: Tourism and Culture, Intervention I5: Increasing access to culture in culturally disadvantaged areas.
The value of the grant is 200,000 RON excluding VAT, with additional support provided by the Municipality of Târgu Secuiesc in the amount of 22,222 RON excluding VAT.
The aim of the project is to provide human resources to support the preservation of local/regional cultural identity by training project participants, as well as through innovative methods and tools of education through culture.
Objectives:
- To equip 50 students of the Bod Péter Teacher Training College with methodological knowledge in the field of cultural education, which they can apply in their future professional lives in the region.
- To organize workshops and masterclasses in dramaturgy, acting/stage speech technique/stage presence, as well as in puppetry, traditional children’s games, and folk storytelling.
- To create an informal cultural workshop and equip it with basic tools (an informal student puppet theater).
- To stage and perform two puppet plays, reaching at least 150 children in the region.
- The target group of the project is the 50 students of the Bod Péter Teacher Training College.
The duration of the project is 15 months, from April 2023 to June 2024.
